Understanding season passes

A season pass grants entry to multiple events within a defined period, usually at a lower combined cost than buying tickets to each individual event separately across that same window of time. They suit attendees who plan to attend regularly, though they require a genuine upfront commitment before the full season's program is known.

Value depends heavily on actual attendance, not simply the theoretical discount printed on the pass itself. A pass calculated to break even after four events offers little real benefit to someone who ultimately only attends two across the season, so honest self assessment before purchasing matters more than the advertised saving.

Some season passes include additional perks beyond simple entry, such as priority access, reserved parking or discounts at associated food and merchandise stalls throughout the season. These extras can meaningfully shift the overall value calculation and are worth checking carefully before dismissing a pass as too expensive at first glance.
