QR code entry works by encoding a unique ticket identifier into a scannable image, which staff at the door read using a dedicated device to instantly confirm validity and prevent the same ticket being used more than once by different people attempting entry at different points around a venue.
Screenshotting a QR code rather than accessing it live through the original ticketing app can occasionally cause issues at some venues, since certain systems refresh the code periodically for genuine security reasons, meaning an old screenshot may simply no longer scan correctly once presented at the actual gate.
Keeping phone brightness reasonably high and the specific ticket easily accessible before reaching the front of an entry queue speeds up the whole process considerably for everyone waiting behind, avoiding the frustrating delay of fumbling to find and load the correct screen while a queue continues building steadily behind you. A little preparation at this stage genuinely benefits the whole queue, not just the person at the very front of it.
